In our work among the emigrants, it is first necessary to prepare the religious groundwork, and to propagate Christian faith and love. Before anything more universal and good can be accomplished, we first need to introduce, revive, spread, or strengthen the practice of a definite set of thoughts and sentiments that are truly moral, religious, and Christian.
